Click here to find out what you can do as a player.

As a player, you can:

  • Play by game. In the games you will be tested on your level of impact, awareness, knowledge, skills, values, affinity or team role. Choose which game you want to do, and in which order. For each completed game, you get a badge!
  • Playing the Challenge. Here we challenge you to play all the games recommended for you. The Change Agent within your team/organisation decides when the Challenge must be played. You decide when you play the individual games. Do you get 1 game a day? Or 1 per week? Or...?
  • Get certificates. You can earn a certificate by taking an exam. In an exam, all games are played in one go. During the exam you can show what you have learned! At the end you get your certificate.
  • Sometimes there are several certificates to be obtained! Go to the 'Achievements' page to see which certificates are available.
  • Please note: To play a Challenge or obtain a certificate, you must be logged in while playing, otherwise we cannot link your play dates to your account. [Click here for more info].

What are and how do you obtain transitors points, badges and certificates? Click here to find out.

What are transitor point?

Transitors are the points you receive every time you answer a question correctly. How many can you get? The person who gets the most transistors will be at the top of your team/organisation's ranking list!

Where to find transistor points:

  • You can see the transitors in your screen while playing a game.

  • If you are logged in with a personal account, you can see the total number of transitor points you have achieved on the home page after the login screen: the Profile Hub.

  • If you are logged in with a personal account and visit your Profile Hub, you can also see how many transitor points you have achieved per game. See this on the Achievements page. [Click here for more info on Achievements.]

What are badges? And which ones are obtainable?

Just like in scouting, you can get different badges at One Future Play! At One Future Play, a badge is the reward you get after playing a game. So play it!

The badges have different values:

  • If you get a badge with 1 star, you get the status ''Beginner''. This means you still have some practice to do.

  • When you get a badge with 2 stars, you get the status ''Level up!''. You may have already practised a bit, this is going well, but there is still room for improvement.

  • An "Advanced" status is awarded when you achieve a 3-star badge. Then you're on a roll!

  • The "Expert" status is for the real expert. Only the Expert gets a 4-star badge.

Please note: To obtain a badge, you must be logged in while playing, otherwise we cannot link your play dates to your account. [Click here for more info].

How can you obtain a certificate and what can you do with them?

If you have practised a bit with the different games, you are probably ready to take the exam. During the exam, you will play through all the games in one go. If you have answered enough questions correctly, you will be awarded a certificate!

A certificate is proof that you have what it takes to contribute to a sustainable future! Sometimes you can even earn several certificates! Go to the "Achievements" page in your Profile Hub and see which certificates you can obtain.

You can mention the achievement of a certificate on your LinkedIn page, for example. The Quizmaster, Change Agent and Company Manager within your organisation will also receive a notification that you have achieved your certificate, provided you grant permission in your privacy settings.

Note: To obtain a certificate, you must be logged in while playing, otherwise we cannot link your playing data to your account. [Click here for more info].

Click here to understand what is a game, a round and the different types of games that exist.

Games

A game is a (short) learning module. In a game, the player learns about a particular theme. For example, there are games about energy transition, the circular economy, the 17 SDGs, sustainable mobility, sustainable nature management, and so on.

Rounds

A game, or learning module, consists of one or more rounds. This depends on what needs to be learned, as agreed with the client and described in the Competence Matrix. So the game(s) you play may include one or more rounds. Namely these:

  • Impact: what is the player's ecological footprint? How many earths would be needed if everyone lived and consumed as the player does? This is where the player becomes aware of their own impact.

  • Awareness: what should the player be aware of? After all, change only begins with awareness. This round addresses, for example: Why is change needed? What problems is the current situation causing? And are there also opportunities and good examples?

  • Knowledge: what does the player need to know? Here the player learns the content knowledge needed for change. For example, if the game is about the circular economy, this is where the player learns about the 10 R's or circular design principles.

  • Skills: what does the player need to be able to do? This round builds on the Knowledge round. Here the player learns to apply what they have learned in real-life situations.

  • Values: what should the player believe? Values such as inclusiveness, innovation and collaboration, for example, are important to create and sustain sustainable change. The purpose of this round is to both test the values needed and to make the player aware of their own attitudes and values.

  • Affinity: With which Sustainable Development Goal(s) does the player have an affinity? Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were established by the UN in 2015, as the new global sustainable development agenda for 2030. They are promoted as the global Sustainable Development Goals. In this round we measure which SDG is preferred, this reflects the player's affinity.

  • Team role: what role does the player assume in a team? This round is based on the Belbin team roles test. Here the player learns about what role he/she usually assumes in a team. The purpose of this round is both to test the team role and to make the player aware of his/her own role within a team.

Game types

One Future Play has several game types available. Therefore, the game(s) you play may contain one or more game types. Namely this one:

  • Swipe Quiz. In a Swipe Quiz you have to judge whether a statement is true or false. Is the statement true? Swipe to the right. Not true? Swipe to the left. Maybe you recognize the mechanism ... This works just like Tinder! Right.

  • A/B Quiz. An A/B Quiz is a game type where you can choose from 2 answers: A or B. Do you click on the best answer?

  • Match Quiz. In a Match Quiz, you get to see 4-6 pictures. These pictures are accompanied by a text. Can you match the correct text to the correct picture?

  • Earth Quiz. In an Earth Quiz you learn about proportions. What percentage of untouched nature still exists in relation to farmland or built-up land? And what is the CO2 emission of different materials? In an Earth Quiz, these kinds of questions are addressed. Different icons represent the elements. Drag the icons onto a globe or map to discover the correct ratio.

  • Impact Calculator. How many globes would be needed if everyone lived and consumed as you do? This calculator asks several questions about your consumption habits. For each question you can indicate how much you consume, by turning the knob to the right number.

  • Simon Says. In Simon Says your skills are put to the test! Can you apply what you learned in real-life situations? In Simon Says you see a real-life scenario (sometimes depicted in a video). Then you choose which answers apply.
